Add (web) Hooks

Allow for hooks to be developed so that custom actions can be taken when certain events trigger.

We have some support for internal "hooks" or "events", but it's not fully documented. This can then be hooked in via a snap-in to listen for certain events.

If you can let us know when you want certain code to be run, I can make sure there's an event registered for that action.

I am looking for clientexec to develop webhooks so that I can integrate and sync clientexec customer details with Active Campaign (active customers - as details are changed in clientexec, it changes in active campaign).

Hi Matt,

Thank you for the reply.

For me specifically, I was wanting an enews platform like Active Campaign to keep an up to date list of active customer from clientexec.

Therefore if a new client is added to clientexec, or their status is changed, this would update Active Campaign's list

Buzz me back if you need more info.

Kind regards,

Anthony

Hi Matt,

I am interested in being able to integrate Client with other apps, via Zapier's own webhooks app:

https://zapier.com/help/how-get-started-webhooks-zapier/

Is that currently possible with Clientexec?

I notice here: https://www.clientexec.com/members/knowledge-base/configuring-clientexec~82/security-settings~439

that is says:

"Generation your Application Key - This Application Key lets you easily integrate Clientexec with 3rd party providers via webhooks to different callbacks."

However how will this work with zapier?

As I understanding, we need an area in clientexec admin to be able to enter the zapier webhook url?

Are you able to advise?

Or can you advise how the application key can be used for webhooks?

ie. A use case scenario that I am thinking, is being able to receive Clientexec tickets (assigned to me) in Slack, and then being able to reply in Slack to update the Clientexec ticket

Kind regards,

Anthony
